Yesterday, in a stunning and an amazingly stupid fashion, both John McCain
and Colin Powell pissed away any chance of ever becoming President, and more importantly, the Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces. You can read it and weep, here. How could these to ex flag officers be so blind to the electorate and why?

It has been just a few weeks since the methods used by the White House and the British MI-6 stopped an attempt to bring down at least 10 American airplanes bound for the U.S. from Great Britain.

The President has asked for the Congress to approve his methods, which has kept us safe, so no harm can be done on our CIA operatives who are trying to protect America and the west from the most savage and brutal enemies we have ever faced.

Why? I do not know the answer to this question, but I do know that they do not have the best interest of our servicemen and women in their hearts when they defy the President over this matter, no matter what they say. Perhaps it is a political ploy or perhaps they like the praise that the liberal media (Who also don't have our servicemen and women's best interest at heart).

I do not know why good men are willing to place our security and safety at risk, but I do know this: They can forget ever getting a vote from me for Commander-In-Chief. They now join the likes of John Kerry and Hillary Clinton, who can never be allowed to be CIC. As a retired United States Air Force Senior Non Commissioned Officer and First Sergeant, I am qualified to decide who will or will not make a good Commander-In-Chief and deem the aformentioned people not worthy

On Feb 27, 1968, Walter Cronkite began a series of broadcasts about how the TET offensive by the North Vietnamese had overrun the Americans and how we had lost the war. History has proven that the broadcasts and remarks by "Uncle Walter" during his nightly broadcasts were wrong. There is great reason to believe that they were not only wrong, but were purposful lies to destroy the war effort by the United States in Vietnam. The broadcasts were designed to tell half truths and deceive the American public. They worked. Public opinion turned against the war and would later cause the U.S. to "cut and run". We also know that the lives of 3,000,000 cambodians and half a million South Vietnamese were forfiet to these deceitful actions by the American News Media, aided and with the blessings of the Democrat Party. "Uncle Walter" and the news media have yet to apologize to the American Public, because to do so would expose them to grief from the American Public. It was done for political reasons. It failed to reach the political goal of bringing McGovern and his ilk to power in this country. The Democrats were willing to lose a war to bring themselves to power.

In 2002, Joseph wilson was sent to Niger to confirm British Reports of Iraq trying to buy yellow cake. Everything Mr. Wilson did and said about this trip has been confirmed to be a lie.

The Democrats have once again put their desire for political power ahead of the best interests of the country. They knew that everything Joseph Wilson was saying, indeed they may have orchestrated the whole thing, from Ms. Plame's (Mrs. Wilson) suggesting that he be sent to Niger to every lie that was spread by him and his sicophants after his return. The whole affair is nothing less than treasonous. As in 1968, media clammer with no respect for the truth may be very costly, but these consequences may be even graver than a loss of a war. It may cost millions of lives and the loss of our way of life.

The Democrat Party is not only disgusting but are treasonous in their efforts to undermine the Bush administration. They have no concern for the Country. Remember this when you go to the polls in November of this year.

Innability to win elections as any level in the last 10 years, the once great Democrat Party is no more. After losing 25 seats in the House and 6 Senate seats which followed after a crushing presidential defeat in 2008, the Party Spokeswoman, Cindy Sheehan, crying big tears and blaming the Republican Party for killing her party announced this morning that the Democrat Party is broke. The Party has closed all offices and have declared bankruptcy. There is no word yet what political name the 35 Democrat Congressmen and 13 Senators who still call themselves Democrats will now refer to themselves.

A crack investigator on the staff of RP News Service has delved into the demise and state of the now Defunct Democrat Party and has offered this analysis of the slow, painful death of the Party.

The last presidential election the Democrats won without outside help or skullduggery by the party was in 1948. In 1960, the most popular rock star of poliitical history, John F. Kennedy barey won enough votes to became the President pon Jan 7,1961. A study of this victory has clearly revealed that without the vote of several thousand dead voters in Chicago, Richard Nixon would have won enough electoral votes to take the presidential elections. A thorough study of history reveals that that was the height of the Democrat Party and the slide to oblivion had started.

I the mid 1960's, the Democrat Party became the Party of the left anti-war and lost to pro-war candidate, Richard Nixon, by a large majority. This angered the party so much that they turned to a total Anti-war candidate, George McGovern, which resulted in a landslide defeat. This was the first of many bad decisions that the party made.

The Party was near death at this point, however, Richard Nixon's missteps and corruption allowed for the election of the worst president in American history, Jimmy Carter, A Democrat. This was the second time that the Democrats had won an undeserved presidency after 1948, once by voter fraud, and now because of the actions of a sitting American President, a Republican.

Then, in 1992 , after twelve years of Republican presidency, with the Democrat party barely holding on to their majority in Congress by the toenails and have absolutely no chance for a Presidential victory, fate once again stepped in to save the party. Ross Perot, who hated President George H.W. Bush more than he loved the country, spent some three million dollars to run as an independent and cause President Bush the first,a Republican, to lose to the second worst president in history, William Jefferson (Bill) Clinton, a Democrat.

Let's review history of the Democratic party at this point. They had won three undeserved presidential elections since 1948, one by voter cheating, one by default, and won by meddling in the presidential election in 1992 by Ross Perot. They still held a majority in the Congress. This was about to change, big time.

In 1994, the American Public, who had been slowly moving to the right 1964, swept all apposed incumbent democrat congressmen out of office. At the same time the Senate was taken over by the Republicans. This was the death knell of the Democrat Party, even though, they hung on for 18 more years as a somewhat viable party.

President Bush, a Republican, won the Presidential Election in 2000, after a dirty fight with the Florida Supreme Court forced the SCOTUS to stop the Democrat machine from trying to steal the Electoral Majority from President Bush. This left a real bad taste for the Democrats for the majority of Americans, but caused the rabid Democrat partisans, who would later be called "Moonbats" to eat through their own forehead and perform a lemming like jump off the political cliff.

In 2006, the Democrats squandered an opportunity to win back at least the House by allowing the Netroots radicals, such as Move-on.0rg and KOS to take over the party. These Nutroots forgot what had happened in 1972 to the Anti-war Party, were convinced that their current Anti-War position would win the majority back in both House of congress by voting against any member of Congress who supported the Iraq war, pushed Joseph Lieberman aside and defeated him in the Democrat Primary. Mr. Lieberman, then ran as an Independent and won the Senate seat in connecticut. Mr. Lieberman was so incenssed by his treatment of fellow Democrats and said, in his acceptance speech: "The Demcrat Party can go to hell and I am caucasing with the Republicans. This so enraged the Anti-war Netroots to elect Cindy Sheehan as the Party Chairman. It has since been revealed that Ms. Sheehan was and had been mentally ill for some time. Of Course, the Democrats lost the Congressional Elections in 2006 and then Hilliary Clinton, a Democrat, lost the Presidential Election in 2008 by a huge margin, being the only time in Presidential Election history that a candidate did not win a single state.

So, today, Ms. Sheehan, wearing a straightjacket and surrounded by nurses, tearfully bid goodby to both her party and her sanity.

It is over for the Democrat Party. It had been barely living since 1952. The party did not even die with their boots on. May the Party of Peaceniks RIP!!

There has been a strange twist in the latest war between Israel and Terrorists. In the past, CNN would run Christiane Amanpour over to the terrorist side and show any and all suffering of women, children, old men, young men, camels and donkeys and of course, terrorists themselves. The rest of the world, including American Democrats, would then howl with rage over the actions the meany Israeli's were taking. The ever feckless UN would quake with dissaproval. European Union members would weep for the "poor' terrorists and their plite. The American President would rush the Secretary of State over there to force a quick end to the Israeli actions. Dick Morris has an great article this morning which tell us how the Impeached President Bill Clinton stabbed the Israeli's in the back in 1996 here


What is different now. First, CNN does not have a monopoly on the news. While they certainly went back to the old playbook and rushed the ever available Chrisitane Amanpour to Lebanon and were duped into showing a propaganda piece for Hezballah, FOX was in Israel showing the suffering of the Israeli's. Second, The European Union has mostly been silent. Third, the President of the United States did not immeidately send Condi Rice over there to quell the violence, but instead stood up at a world meeting of the G8 and told the world that he supported Israel's right to defend itself and was in no hurry to stop the Israeli attacks on the terrorists.

The world, specifically, the United States recognizes that the Israeli's are fighting the same enemies in Iraq, Afghanistan and other parts of the world. We have recognized that this is part of the Global War on Terror. The American populace is behind Israel on this one (except, of course, the Democrats in Congress).

The Boston Globe published it's usual Bush Screed this morning, blaming the Isreali/Hezballah confrontation on President Bush and claimed the democrats would have done better.See article <a href="http://www.boston.com/news/globe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2006/07/22/us_blunders_roil_the_mideast/">here</a>This is nothing but a regurgitation of the Dean Speech of last week.  I had already published on my blog <a href="http://proudrepublican.blogspot.com/2006/07/democrats-israelhezballah-bush-fault.html">here</a>The Boston Globe published an article which had already been refuted 5 days earlier.It is a pity that the "big" media think so little of blogs that they won't even search the blogosphere to see if anyone had commented on a subject before they print one of their own.

How does one kill something that was never alive to start with?

This must be the joke of the day. The Middle East has not seen peace since Abraham sired a baby on his slave, Hagar, and begot Ishmael. This was after God had told Abraham that he would allow Sarah to have a child and Isaac was later born of Abraham and Sarah. That is where the trouble started and has been going on ever since. God told Abraham he would make a great nation from both Ishmael and Isaac, and he was true to this word. Ismael fathered the Arabs and Isaac fathered the Jews, and they have been fighting battles over this most worthless of all areas on the earth for well over two thousand years.

While I am not a theologian, I am convinced that God has a sense of humor. He spread the Jews over the world and made them the most prosperous of peoples, while he left the Arabs to eke out a living in this almost inhabitable region. All was well until oil was discovered on this worthless outpost of poverty and ignorance. God, I think, sat back and said to himself, this is going to be interesting. So what has emerged in this region is a race of people who are ignorant of the rest of the world, but hold the keys to prosperity in the world. Naturally, this has caused even more tension than normal in this part of the world. Adding to that mix, the Jews decided they would take back the land for which God had set aside for them. It has proved to be a volatile mix.

This was a mostly regional conflict and mostly confined to that part of the world. Adding to the already volatile mix, the audacity of President Bush, who decided that the Middle East needed at least two more democracies, Afghanistan and Iraq. This has caused a huge backlash by the Arab countries who have no stake in democracy. Up jumped Iran, who does not want a country friendly to the Great Satan (U.S.) next door to them. It makes them very nervous. Because they are a nervous nation, the have decided to stir up trouble not only in Iraq, but also between Israel and the Refugees occupying the land adjactent to them. Israel has taken umbridge to Iran's (with the help of Syria) meddling in their affairs.

Israel is doing the work that the West should be doing and will, somewhat reluctantly, have to eventually do.

Make no mistake, this is the "end of the beginning" of WWIII, to borrow a phrase from Winston Churchill who said this after the disaster at Dunkirk in 1940.

World politicians message to Israel: Lets talk! Talk!! Talk!!! TALK!!!!

If memory serves, isn't this what got us into this situation to start with?. Since 1950, the UN has talked this situation to death, mostly by talking to Israel and not the other parties to this aggression. The result of all this talk was war in 1967 and 1973, in which Isreal demolished its e Arab neighbors and grabbed the West Bank and Gaza in the process. The world started talking again to Isreal (only). Give up the occupied territories.

In 98, then President in name only, Bill Clinton gathered Arafat and Israeli PMBarak together at Camp David and Talked!, Talked!! Talked!!! and Talked!!!! Arafat talked until he discovered that any decisions would bring peace to the region. Then he quit talking. This resulted in a four year war of attrition on both sides. The world continued to talk, to Isreal (only).

President Bush and Tony Blair declared that Palestine should have it's own country, then continued to Talk!, Talk!! Talk!!! talk!!!! Finally, Isreal listened and gave up it's occupied terratories in Gaza and most of the West Bank. This resulted in the Palestinians electing a terrorist government. They moved into Gaza, from which they started shelling Israeli's.

Today Israel is speaking, as apposed to talking.


The talking has ended, War is the result of all this talking.

I for one like the way Isreal is speaking and the rest of the world can go to hell!!!

I HAVE NO REASON TO EVER WATCH A "NEWS" CAST AGAIN

I am disgusted.

I am demoralized.

I am disheartened.

I am angry.

I have pointed out twice in the last 24 hours, here and here that Robert Novak said that he learned Valerie Plame's name by reasearching "Who's Who". A simple google search reveals her as the wife of that idiot, Joseph Charles Wilson.

I watched in fascination tonight as Novak was interviewed by none other than Fox News, Brit Hume. I became dejected as it became abundantly clear that Brit was not even going near this revelation. I had long since sworn off the Alphabet Networks, CNN, MSNBC and the rest of the Left Wing Media mouthpieces. Fox News was the only outlet left to me for serious news.

But no more. Fox News is better than the other networks, but not by much. The major news media have managed to bury Novak's revelation. OK, I have decided to bury them.

I will get my news from the internet, where it is mostly unfiltered. I can read polipundit, HangRightPolitics, Powerline,Falcon's Crest,Hugh Hewitt, Instapundit, Ankle Biting Pundits, Pajama's Media, Michelle Malkin, Lucianne,Newsmax, Townhall and several other good web pages. I can find out more news in 5 minutes than I can get all day from the major news services. All have great links to other news articles.

Since I no longer need the news networks for anything, I can only say Goodbye and Good Riddance.

Following my interview with the primary source, I sought out the second administration official and the CIA spokesman for confirmation. I learned Valerie Plame's name from Joe Wilson's entry in "Who's Who in America."

I considered his wife's role in initiating Wilson's mission, later confirmed by the Senate Intelligence Committee, to be a previously undisclosed part of an important news story. I reported it on that basis.

I have read several articles this morning from the major wire services, and not one of them mentioned the first paragraph of his article. All of them pointed to Karl Rove's conversation when Novak called him to confirm her identity. We knew all of this, however, the MSM is treating this as big news.

No bias here, folks. Move along

UPDATED: CHRIS MATTHEWS ON SUICIDE WATCH, SINCE HE HAS DEDICATED HIS WHOLE LIFE TRYING TO PROVE THAT KARL ROVE OR DICK CHENEY WERE GUILTY.

What is poor Chris Matthews to do? In what has become a nightly news (so-called) show called "Hardball", he has devoted his whole program on trying to convict Karl Rove or Dick Cheney of leaking the name of Valerie Plame. Now it appears that he was wrong and the leaker was none other than Joe Wilson himself. This was revealed today by Robert Novak today, see his release here" on the Drudge Report.

In a related article on Sweetness and Light web page, there is an interesting statement as from Novak as follows:

In my sworn testimony, I said what I have contended in my columns and on television: Joe Wilson’s wife’s role in instituting her husband’s mission was revealed to me in the middle of a long interview with an official who I have previously said was not a political gunslinger. After the federal investigation was announced, he told me through a third party that the disclosure was inadvertent on his part.

Following my interview with the primary source, I sought out the second administration official and the CIA spokesman for confirmation. I learned Valerie Plame’s name from Joe Wilson’s entry in "Who’s Who".

The publisher of Sweetness and Light add this sentence, in which I wholly concur:

What a complete waste of time and money this escapade has been.

I would like to say that I can say it better, but I cannot.

What will Chris Matthew do now? Who knows, he has not had a life since this became a major issue. Maybe he will take a couple of weeks of from his little watched show and visit with his wife and Kids.

In a just universe, his program will be canceled after a sincere apology to Mr. Rove and Mr. Cheney.

Today's article in the New York times, while not being able to find any fault with the operation at Haditha, still managed to find at least two "John Murtha Kerry" types to "leak" that there were some discrepancies in the investigative questions.

My friend, Herschel Smith, over at Captains Journal has been writing for a couple of weeks now of the new strategy being put into play by the terrorists: Create some atrocities and blame it on U.S. forces.

Our enemy in the Global War on Terror has learned to play the American News Media like a well worn fiddle. Report an atrocity, attribute it to American forces, then sit back and watch the gullible news media "expose" the story with very little, if any, factchecking.

This tactic worked well at Haditha. Time Magazine and Newsweek Magazine splashed the incident on their front pages in June of this year. After much factchecking by the blogosphere, it appears that the whole thing is a hoax, as I said in my original article.

The Major News Media (MSM)will have plenty of egg on it's face when the truth comes out. They know this and are already trying to blunt the harsh criticism which will follow by quoting any source at all to find someone, anyone to blame for their stupidity. The story line now appears to be: "lets hang some officers", by claiming to know what was in a confidential report and that the officers were deficient in their questioning of the Marines involved. According to their new tack: There may have nothing which was out of line or regulation which happened at Haditha, but there has to be something wrong and someone must be blamed, otherwise the media will be blamed.

Congressman John Murtha has already called the Marines involved "Cold Blooded Murderers" and will most likely be censured by the House when all is said and done. That is the least that should happen to the old fool.

I find it hard to believe that the American Public is dumb enough to be duped by the News Media, but there at least 40% of the voting populace who is willing to believe anything the media says so long as it hurts President Bush.

It will be interesting to see how the Haditha Incident plays out and whether the News Media will be held accountable if the accusations against the Marines were a hoax. It will probably be ignored by the major media outlets, but it will not be ignored here and on thousands of other web pages.

The fans of the United Nations (Liberals of all stripes) keep telling us how important the UN is to world peace and wring their hands when any petty dictator decides he wants to thumb his nose at the world. Most recently, Kim Jong Il, the petty dictator of North Korea launched 7 missiles in the general direction of the Sea of Japan. The UN is all atwitter. They are already threatening to have a meeting which would require a commission to decide whether to have another meeting which would require a special study to decide whether to have another

Oh, how the willing dupes of world peace will fawn over the great diplomatic efforts of the UN in the coming weeks, while all the time, North Korea will launch still more missiles in the general direction of the Sea of Japan. Let's all get together and sing Cumbaya!!.

The North Koreans are is shooting arrows (missiles) into the air and it will come down they know not where.There is just a chance that one of the missiles will land on South Korea or Japan.

If this happens, the treaty signed by all sane powers of the Pacific Rim, SEATO, will require military reprisal against North Korea.

While the western powers are busy turning North Korea into a vast wasteland, the UN will wring it's hands, the hollywood peaceniks will all hold hands and sing "We are the world" and will denounce those meanies of the Western World, specifically the United States.

Isn't diplomacy wonderful. Ok, now, let us all sing another verse of Cumbaya.
