WHOLE LIFE TRYING TO PROVE THAT KARL ROVE OR DICK CHENEY WERE GUILTY.
What
is poor Chris Matthews to do? In what has become a nightly news
(so-called) show called "Hardball", he has devoted his whole program on
trying to convict Karl Rove or Dick Cheney of leaking the name of
Valerie Plame. Now it appears that he was wrong and the leaker was none
other than Joe Wilson himself. This was revealed today by Robert Novak
today, see his release
here" on the Drudge Report.
In a related article on Sweetness and Light web page, there is an interesting statement as from Novak as follows:
In
my sworn testimony, I said what I have contended in my columns and on
television: Joe Wilson’s wife’s role in instituting her husband’s
mission was revealed to me in the middle of a long interview with an
official who I have previously said was not a political gunslinger.
After the federal investigation was announced, he told me through a
third party that the disclosure was inadvertent on his part.
Following
my interview with the primary source, I sought out the second
administration official and the CIA spokesman for confirmation. I
learned Valerie Plame’s name from Joe Wilson’s entry in "Who’s Who".
The publisher of Sweetness and Light add this sentence, in which I wholly concur:
As
Novak points out, and as we have said all along, Mr. Fitzgerald has
known who the sources of this unimportant leak for months — indeed, for
the entire investigation.
What a complete waste of time and money this escapade has been.
Libby should be set free. And Fitzgerald should go to jail.
I would like to say that I can say it better, but I cannot.
What
will Chris Matthew do now? Who knows, he has not had a life since this
became a major issue. Maybe he will take a couple of weeks of from his
little watched show and visit with his wife and Kids.
In a just universe, his program will be canceled after a sincere apology to Mr. Rove and Mr. Cheney.
